Word of the Day (Happy Kyoto Protocol Day)

Please enjoy today’s James Thurber moment for February 16th, 2011. Have a happy Kyoto Protocol Day. Interesting fact: The term “devil’s advocate” comes from the Roman Catholic Church. When deciding if someone should be sainted, a devil’s advocate is always appointed to give an alternative view. (I think I was misrepresented and the devil’s advocate in my case won on a technicality. I am appealing my sainthood to a higher court. I’ll keep you updated.)

“All human beings should try to learn before they die what they are running from, and to, and why.” James Thurber

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s extremely deep Word of the Day. I feel like I really don’t need to give this a lot of thought. I am not really running to or from anything per se. I am just sort of moseying along and I think I like it that way.

Always remember: A hospital is a place where they wake you up to give you a sleeping pill.
